This has been a wet summer and I thought it would be a good idea to get something that would let me harvest rainwater to supplement my automated irrigation system.

I looked in a lot of places and talked with a number of hydro engineers and there doesn’t seem to be anything.

I learned

• You can harvest rainwater
• You can automatically irrigate
• You can not integrate a gravity fed rainwater system with a pressure based irrigation system.

That’s unfortunate, because water is going to become scarcer and more expensive.
